Imagination

The artwork displays a fish-like creature jumping over a human in a boat during the night. Water spashes upward with the fish as it ascends into the sky. You can tell the fish has already been out of the water for a short time, as the fish is curving downward back into the water. The purple color tone adds a mystical and fantasy feeling to the scene.

Although the artist did a great job in detail, which includes, but is not limited to: the glow of the fish, the rushing water trailing behind the fish, the angle of the scene, the clouds and stars behind the background, and the quality of the picture, the artist had a hard time impacting the critique. The scene was beautifully drawn, but there was not enough emotion to the scene. In addition, this is a common scene, one that is quite often seen in contemporary animated movies and pictures. Though the artist took her time in attempting to deliver the "imagination" theme, the scene she depicted is a common one, and thus, the feeling and emotion was lost. However, the artist makes up for this with a dazzling display of quality and theme, and, in addition, brings life to the scene with creative special effects with the water and glow of the fish. Other than the common scene depicted, this deviant went above and beyond expectations with technique and vision, and thus, made a "devious" picture.
